Originally from Dublin, Sarah Broadhead is a Hampshire-based artist, member of The Association for Contemporary Jewellery and founding member of the Hampshire Artists’ Co-operative. She trained at W.S.C.A.D. in Farnham (now University for the Creative Arts) where she gained a BA in Textiles followed by a Post Graduate Diploma in Glass.
Since 1986, Sarah’s passion and talent for capturing the delicate and changeable qualities of glass and enamel have led her to explore in a unique fashion their bewitching interplay with the elements of sunlight, air, water and opulent colour. Her pieces are held in many private and public collections worldwide, including Newnham College, Cambridge.
Her jewellery exploits her knowledge of weaving to bring a new look at the combination of coloured glass, silver and semi-precious beads in delightful earrings, pendants, necklaces and chokers.
